Effective air purification in five steps

The Clean Air Optima® UV Plasma Ionic Air Purifier CA-401 has many programs: completely silent air purification without ventilation or extremely powerful air purification with silent ventilation.

1. Extraction of dirty indoor air using a quiet and powerful fan.

2. The special electrostatic filter system in the CA-401 UV Plasma Ionic Air Purifier can draw in air without using a fan.

An electromagnetic field is created inside the device, which applies an electrical voltage to the air and dust, so that dust particles are attracted to the dust collector plates as if by a magnet. The electrical voltage in the air is then removed and the air is discharged from the device.

The electrostatic filter and plasma technology bind particles down to 0.01 micrometers in size. These particles include fine dust, pollen and other particles. The electrostatic dust collectors attract floating dust and other harmful substances like a magnet. The stainless steel plate can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

1. During the ionization process, negative ions are produced that purify the air in the room. The positive effect of ionization is that the air is enriched with active oxygen. Negative ions attach to dust particles, microorganisms and other unwanted compounds and bind them together. The particles then become heavier and settle on the floor or are filtered out by the air purifier.

2. UV lamp. The ultraviolet light of the lamp (UV-C radiation) with a wavelength of 254 nm eliminates unwanted microorganisms such as microbes, viruses, mold (mold spores) and bacteria. In addition, microorganisms are also eliminated in the device itself. Thus, they cannot multiply and spread in the air. UV-C light has the highest frequency, shortest wavelength and highest energy of all types of light, so it can penetrate the membrane of microorganisms and destroy their DNA. The remaining particles are filtered out by an electrostatic filter or attracted by stainless steel plates of dust collectors. The UV-C radiation technology used has been proven to be extremely effective in destroying pathogenic viruses, bacteria and protozoa. Using UV-C light, up to 99.99% or more of microbial organisms can be destroyed.
