Air purifiers

An air purifier is an electronic device that is designed to clean the air in a room. It works by removing dirt, dust, allergens, bacteria, viruses, smoke, and other harmful particles from the air in a room, thereby improving the quality of the air we breathe most of our time. Air purifiers use a variety of filtration systems and technologies to remove different sources of air pollution. You can choose an air purifier using filters – select the recommended room size and the required filtration system. What is an air purifier?

Clean and fresh air in the home is not only an advantage, but even a necessity for people suffering from allergies. Purified air ensures that the air is better saturated with oxygen, the absence of dust makes you feel more productive, in a better mood, and improves the quality of sleep.

Purifiers can be used not only at home, but also in commercial premises where it is important to maintain good air quality, maintain employee health and work productivity. We have a wide selection of air purifiers, so everyone will find the one that best suits their needs.

Why is it important to have an air purifier in your environment?

The air purification system removes allergens, dust, pollen, animal hair, etc. This is especially important for those suffering from allergies and asthma. An air purifier also removes harmful particles such as smog, smoke, chemicals or unpleasant odors, and air purifiers that use radiation or ionization technology can destroy bacteria, viruses and fungi.

It is an excellent prevention against infections, as well as an excellent prophylactic measure for relieving the symptoms of colds, flu, and all respiratory diseases.Clean air can have a positive effect on productivity and concentration, as poor air quality causes fatigue, irritability, and drowsiness.

How to choose the right air purifier?

When choosing an air purifier, it is recommended to consider the following factors:

  • The need for air purification - nDetermine what specific air quality issues you have in your environment. Do you need to remove dust and allergens? Are you concerned about cleaning harmful particles, bacteria and viruses? Are you concerned about neutralizing unpleasant odors? Evaluate your needs and priorities to choose the right air purification technology;
  • Air purifier type -yThere are different types of air purifiers, including HEPA filters, ionization technology, UV-C rays, and more. Each type has its own advantages and features. Choose an air purifier whose technology meets your needs and the sources of air pollution you encounter. We will talk more about the types of purifiers in a moment;
  • Air purifier capacity - Consider the size of the room you want to use the air purifier in. Choose an air purifier with sufficient power and cleaning capacity to effectively treat the air in your room. Some air purifiers have a recommended room size limit, we recommend choosing a purifier with a slightly larger cleaning area, in which case the purifier will clean the air faster and will not have to work at full capacity, which will improve its service life;
  • Maintenance and replacement filter - When choosing an air purifier, pay attention to maintenance requirements, including cleaning or replacing filters. Check how easy it is to access the filter and whether the filters are simple and easy to replace.

Some of the most popular wipers we manufacture are: Trotec AirgoClean 100 E and Aura CareThe AirgoClean model is designed for smaller rooms, has a certified HEPA filter, this model has all possible cleaning functions that an air purifier can have, is conveniently operated and easy to use, the system has an air quality sensor, which signals the current air quality in colors (green/yellow/red).

The Aura Care model also has all these features, but has an even superior HEPA 13 filter and smart wifi control - the ability to control the purifier with voice commands.

What types of air purifiers are on the market?

There are several main types of air purifiers that use different technologies and processes to clean the air.

Air purifiers with filters for homes and offices - This type of air purifier uses special filters to remove airborne particles. Common filters that are commonly used are mechanical (e.g., a dust filter), a carbon or activated carbon filter, a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter, or a combination of these. The filters absorb and trap particles such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and other allergens.

Industrial air purifiers - used in production facilities where organic and inorganic volatile compounds are formed. Also in schools and hospitals to control the spread of bacteria and viruses in areas densely visited by people. Restaurants and cafes use purifiers to reduce unwanted odors.

Air purifiers and ionizers - These air purifiers use ionization technology to generate a slight electrical charge that ionizes the air. During this process, particles such as dust, bacteria, and allergens stick to the ionized air and settle on the filter surfaces. Some purifiers of this type may also have electrostatic filters that help capture and retain pollutants.

Ozonators - These are devices that produce ozone (O3), a substance used to purify water, air, and eliminate odors. It is a strong oxidant that can destroy bacteria, fungi, viruses, etc. Ozone generators are useful in rooms with poor air circulation, mold contamination, or colonization by other microorganisms.

Ozone reacts with pollutants and burns organic particles and decomposes into oxygen or other chemicals if odors of other chemicals are destroyed. It is important to note that ozone must be used with caution, excessive ozone concentrations can have adverse health effects, therefore it is important to follow safety recommendations and proper procedures to ensure effective and safe use.

Combined air purifiers - Air purifiers often use a combination of the above to better purify the air and remove various contaminants. This can be a combination of ionization and HEPA filters, UV-C radiation and activated carbon filters.

Using several different cleaning technologies can clean the air faster and more efficiently in certain cases, but not all cases are the same, so you may not need combined air cleaning devices for your needs.

Is it enough to have one air purifier?

This depends on the size of your home, the number of rooms, and the level of air pollution. In most cases, one air purifier may be enough, especially if it is very powerful and treats the air in your entire room. However, in some cases it may be more effective to have more than one air purifier, especially if you want to better control the air quality in different rooms or want to increase cleaning efficiency.

If you have a smaller air purifier, we recommend keeping it in your bedroom and moving it to another room during the day. Alternatively, you can purchase multiple purifiers to ensure fresh air in all areas of your home. If you live in a multi-story home, you may want to consider using purifiers on each floor. Alternatively, purchasing a larger, more powerful air purifier will ensure air quality without changing the physical location.

Where should an air purifier be placed?

The location of the air purifier should be open, uncovered, so that the efficiency of the device is maximized, meaning that the air flow can flow without any physical obstructions or obstacles around it.

What should be considered when operating an air purifier?

The main thing you should pay attention to regularly is changing the filters. Most often, filters need to be changed at least once a year, but this depends on the pollutants in the air and the frequency of use of the air purifier. Filters such as activated carbon or HEPA have a limited lifespan and lose their effectiveness if they are not replaced in time.

By purchasing an air purifier with additional features, such as automatic mode, the air purifier will take into account the air pollution in the room at its own discretion, which is an additional useful convenience without having to set a timer or turn it on manually every time.
