Safe use

Charging programs

• Standard charging mode. The standard charging mode is suitable for charging partially discharged lead-acid and gel-type 12 V batteries. The cyclically optimized charging process extends the battery life.
• AGM charging mode. The AGM charging mode is specially designed for charging AGM type 12 V batteries. The cyclically optimized charging process extends the battery life.
• Winter charging mode. Modern batteries (lead-acid, AGM and gel) are extremely sensitive to temperature. When the ambient temperature drops below 5 °C, the chemical processes in the lead-acid battery slow down. The winter charging mode is then ideal for quickly charging 12 V batteries in cold environments (-20 °C to +5 °C) with an increased charging voltage.
• Fast charging mode. The fast charge mode is designed to permanently and reliably compensate for battery self-discharge (lead acid, AGM and gel). The maximum charge capacity is maintained continuously without damaging the battery through overcharging. Ideal for maintaining batteries in rarely used vehicles, such as vintage cars or convertibles.
• Recovery mode for dismantled and stand-alone batteries. Recovery mode is designed to repair deeply discharged lead-acid batteries to ensure they are working at their rated capacity again. The battery life is extended, in many cases the refresh can prevent the need to purchase a new battery.
• Supply mode. When the battery needs to be disconnected or replaced, the PBCS 4A in power mode is used as a power source. All electronic vehicle settings remain unchanged.
